PASTE’s Best YA of 2018 (So Far)

Paste Magazine just published its list of the best young adult novels of the first half of 2018, rounded up by Eric Smith, so I had to take a look and see how many I’d read. It turns out–just two:

The Astonishing Color of After cover

The Astonishing Color of After by Emily X.R. Pan

Leah On the Offbeat

Leah On the Offbeat by Becky Albertalli

That had me feeling like such a slacker, but there’s hope for me yet–I have three more of them coming up soon on my TBR:

A Thousand Beginnings and Endings, ed. by Ellen Oh

Furyborn by Claire Legrand

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

My poor, poor TBR. Its rate of growth is… not sustainable.

Do you agree with Paste’s choices?

What was your favorite 2018 release so far?

How many of these have read?

Let me know in comments!

      1. I know, I really wanted to read Furyborn but then I saw one review after another that was essentially, “I was SOOO excited for this book and then it was just meh,” and I figured I’d save myself the disappointment.
